Why do I have to fill in a questionnaire to buy a horse wormer?

Horse wormers such as Eqvalan, Equest and Animec are POM-VPS medicines. The law requires information about the animal before they can be prescribed and supplied, so the product page asks for it. You can also call any McCaskie store and speak to an SQP.

Should I do a worm count before worming?

Testing before treating is widely recommended because it shows whether a horse needs worming at all, which helps slow wormer resistance. We sell an Equine Worm Count Kit, and an SQP or your vet can help plan a programme.

Can I return a horse wormer?

No. Opened animal health products and licensed veterinary medicines cannot be returned.
