Supplying Scotland's farmers and rural communities since 1957
McCaskie started as a traditional country merchant and has grown into four country stores across Scotland — Ayr, Stirling, Kinross and Lanark — supplying farms, smallholdings, stables and rural households. Nearly seventy years on, the job is the same: stock what Scottish farming actually needs, know the products properly, and give honest advice rather than a sales pitch.
This site, mccaskie.store, is our online shop. It carries our most popular lines with UK-wide delivery, backed by the same four stores and the same staff.
What we supply
Our range is chosen for Scottish conditions and the Scottish farming calendar — lambing, silage, housing, turnout.
- Farming supplies — cattle and sheep feeds, minerals and buckets, lambing equipment, markers, electric fencing, dairy hygiene and general farm sundries
- Animal health — licensed veterinary medicines including wormers, fluke treatments and vaccines, supplied under AMTRA/SQP rules
- Equestrian — hard feed and forage, balancers and supplements, wormers, fly control, tack accessories, riding hats and body protection
- Pet and poultry — working dog and pet food, poultry feed, housing and health products, small animal lines
- Wild bird food — seed, feeders and accessories
- Clothing and workwear — country clothing, waterproof workwear including Kaiwaka, and footwear from wellingtons to safety rigger boots
Qualified advice, not guesswork
Animal medicines are not ordinary retail stock. Our stores have AMTRA-qualified SQPs (Suitably Qualified Persons) who are legally accredited to advise on and supply POM-VPS veterinary medicines. That means when you ask which wormer suits your flock, or what to use for fluke this season, you get an answer from someone trained and accountable for it. It is the main reason customers come to us rather than an online-only seller.
Four stores, one business
Each branch keeps stock suited to its own area, and the teams know their local farms. If a product isn't on the shelf, we will usually get it in for you — our in-store range is wider than our online catalogue, so it is always worth a phone call.
Trade accounts
Trade accounts are available for farming businesses and regular commercial customers, with account pricing and the option to order by phone through your local branch or sales representative. Contact your nearest store to discuss terms.
Shopping online
UK-wide delivery charged by weight from £5.45, free collection from our Stirling store, and you can return an online order to any of our four stores.
